It’s an annual rite of autumn. The Chasing of the Points.
And this year, the season is upon us early, only 2 weeks into the College Football Pool.

A sea of red invaded Boulder Saturday, but couldn’t turn the tide in the old-school Big 8 rivalry game. The Cornhuskers blew a 17-0 lead, sending poor Scott Frost back to Lincoln 1-1. It marked our first double-loss of the season in the pool. Pouring a little salt in the wound, Texas came up short at home to LSU, ending Starkey’s run in the pool.

Welcome Bumble! Our Abominable Snowman, who will be chasing points with his beloved Coach Frost the rest of the year.
PJ also dropped his double game in the the 6 hour marathon in Seattle. Cal has the Husky’s number it appears. A big fat -6 in the game, resulting in 2 total points in 2 double games this season. He’ll keep rowing (upstream all season) chasing points.
A monster week from Meathead! 59 points, the Buckeyes leading the way with 20 in his double game shutout over Cincy. 5-0 vs. the spread, impressive indeed.
Mike Lynn remains perfect on the year maintaining a very slim lead overall – LSU over ranked Texas should have been doubled.
John McKay and Skunk round out the undefeated (12-0). Both a pedestrian 6-0 this week, as always, the odds/spread points being the difference.
FlaInt (Forever Gob it seems) got tripped up by the Fighting Clem Haskins (WKU).
Walter bounced back slightly – needing a Gopher OT win – but his convicts from Miami fall to 0-2. Our defending champ might be…..chasing……….
