2023. In the books.

The Greatest Pool in the History of the World, 2023.

You redefined what the “worst ever” is.

You gave us George Allen, EB Beaumont, and Operaman.

You teased Reggie, then struck him out with a classic curveball.

You created a dynasty in the making, an evil villain at the top.

And, as always, you made the lows lower and the highs higher for a devout group of guys who share a special camaraderie.

Murderer’s Row ends the Sisters stranglehold on the division title. Only one Sister beat his guy.

Reggie and the Bulldogs had it. Right there in front of them. Just beat Bama and the jinx is over, the longest streak in the pool ends. But the Tide had none of it and dealt Reggie a close 2nd. And Washington sits on the bench. But, “there’s always next year”.

So Bruce Dickinson goes back to back. Starting Miami, OH in the MAC title game would have rendered the SEC Championship game meaningless. One of the great things about the CFB Pool.

Michigan pitches a shutout for Operaman, giving him the only 14-0 season in double games. 22 points for the week, comfortably finishing 3rd.

Doorman finishes 4th, The Fighting Jerry Kills losing to Liberty Biberty.

5th goes to Artie Fufkin, with a solid win by SMU at Tulane.

EB Beaumont will pick 3rd in next year’s draft, his Ducks lose to the Huskies in the PAC 12 Championship.

Ralph Malph gets 20 points out of Florida State and wins a trip to exciting Vermillion, South Dakota! Enjoy all beautiful Vermillion has to offer and study up on the transfer portal for next year’s draft.

And lowly George Allen, playing handball against a curb. An Iowa double-point shutout loss put the perfect final touch on the worst season ever in the Pool.
