Week 10 in the books.

Not one for the ages but as the season winds down for most in this year’s pool, the pressure ramps up to avoid the costly loss. As on the gridiron a Big loss this time of the year is much more costly.

Doorman wins the week with 51 points and the only unbeaten roster. Oklahoma State gets an upset win in Bedlam in a gutsy intra-squad start. Kentucky puts it on Mississippi State in Starkville getting 20 points in his double game.

George Allen checks in next with a 5-1 record and 45 points. Tennessee mauls UConn in his double game. The FAU starts and losses continue.

Bruce Dickinson scores 42 for the week. The Rajin’ Cajuns lose as a 9 point favorite – WKU’s non-cover in his double game keeps him in 2nd place.

Reggie remains in the lead scoring 40 points this week. Georgia gets ranked points but doesn’t cover vs. Mizzou. The Zoomies lose their first game scoring only 3 points at home vs. Army.

EB Beaumont loses 2 games scoring 37 this week. No Illinois with the dreaded MAC loss to start the week and Washington State loses to Stanford, bringing back memories of long-ago Cardinal upsets in the pool.

Ralph Malph checks in next with 31 points despite a number 5-1 week. Houston was his only cover in an upset win at Baylor. UCLA took his lone loss at Arizona.

Artie Fufkin scores 34 points. Notre Dame and Florida lose as favorites. Utah crushes ASU in his double game.

Operaman’s tragedy moves into another act scoring 28 points in his pool debut. Navy and Miami take losses, but a win hurt more as his Illini get a road win over his Beloved.

Speaking of tragic – That pretty much describes the Big Ten West.

Iowa and Northwestern played a football game at Wrigley Field on Saturday, and the Hawkeyes’ 10-7 win made it the seventh-highest scoring game played in that building this year — trailing six Cubs games. But as much as we like to poke fun at the Hawkeyes (7-2, 4-2), at least they took care of business. Among the other three teams that came into Saturday tied for first in the Big Ten West, Wisconsin (5-4, 3-3) lost 20-14 to 3-6 Indiana, Nebraska (5-4, 3-3) lost 20-17 to 3-6 Michigan State and Minnesota (5-4, 3-3) fell 27-26 to 4-5 Illinois.
