3 weeks to go and we have some pretty clear separation with four mano a mano battles.
Mike Lynn gains 10 points on The Hagg at the top with a 6-0 week. Defensive points from Michigan (2X), Utah, FSU, and Penn State.
The Hagg takes a Tulane loss to UCF, but The Ohio State point machine keeps pounding away. He leads the pool by 11 points.
1 point separates Ralph Malph and Doorman for 3rd and 4th place. Both go 5-1, Wake Forest continues to befuddle Ralph and Doorman’s mano a mano play with Louisville vs. Ralph’s Clemsons didn’t work out so good.
Artie Fufkin jumps into 5th place – turning 5 wins into 27 points. (That damn point spread!) Texas was his lone star loss. (get it?)
Euronymous doubled Kentucky. They lost to Vandy. At home. Oregon and Liberty also lose. 12 points for the week. He slips to 6th, but only 2 points behind Artie.
The basement battle swings Jimmy C’s way this week. Illinois and Oklahoma take losses but he gets 35 points pulling away from Reggie.
NC St (19.5 pt faves), UCLA (19.5 pt faves), Ga. St (13.5 pt faves) all take home losses for Reggie. Seriously. That’s some whiffin’. But there’s always next year…
Trip week – Jonny, Muck, and Jim will be in Beantown this week. First place in the Ivy League is on the line. Noon on ESPNU. We’re the Harvard fans behind the Yale bench.
The second oldest rivalry in college football, the game dates back to 1875. Yale holds a 68-61 edge in the series with eight ties between the team, including the infamous 29-29 tie in 1968. Harvard defeated Yale 34-31 in 2021. This year’s game will take place at Harvard Stadium in Boston, Mass. This is the first meeting at Harvard’s 119-year old stadium since 2016. The teams played at Fenway Park in 2018 and the Ivy League did not play football due to the pandemic in 2020. The game is sold out. Harvard Stadium holds 30,323.
