Turkey Time

Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! It’s my favorite week of the year when family, friends, food, and football take center stage.

One full week left, sure to set the stage for a final double game that should have an unprecedented number of championship contenders.

We had 4 6-0 records this week, 2 teams went 5-1. Lots of big numbers put up, but as you all know, it could have been even better with a different start here or a different double there.

John McKay goes 6-0, taking the lead. An 8 point double win by Coastal C. helps keep him within striking  distance.

Guido bounces back with a 6-0 week. He gets shutout wins by Penn State (20 points) and Kent State (11). He’s tied for third.

Meathead’s 6-0 week results in 42 points. No road wins, no double spread to cover. The “wuss” was a self-fulfilling prophecy. 5th place, a lot of guys to jump to get to 1st.

The Hagg scored 50 with his 6 wins – and it could’ve been better if he had doubled the Buckeyes over Sparty. Saving those points for next year, Merle?

Zendejas goes 5-1 and wins the week with 51 points. Okie State pitches a road shutout in his double game scoring 22 points.

Eli Gemstone’s mental error was compounded by having to watch John Wheeler’s squad cost him the lead. And Bama looks VERY beatable with 2 weeks left and Georgia laying in wait.

Mike Lynn inexplicably leaves 10-1 Louisiana on the bench and pays the price falling out of the lead. Michigan covered on the road in his double game to save the week.

And Scott LeDoux! Oh my, that was an emphatic double-loss by Oregon. The Gators lose to Missouri and Nevada gets beat in OT by A Force. 14 points for the week. But I’m thankful that Scotty will be saying the hallowed phrase, “With the first pick of the 2022 draft…”

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
