Too close to call…

2021 marked the return of the Greatest Pool in the History of the World and it’s living up to the hype. All the teams at the top are flawed. Big winners are common on people’s benches.

And upsets? Ooohhh, I could tell you stories.

Mike Lynn remains in the lead, but he has company. A MACtion loss on Tuesday started his wreckage, followed by Auburn blowing a 28-3 lead, losing at home to Mississippi State. War Damn Eagle indeed.

Co-leader John McKay’s San Joses did NOT know the way to beat Utah State and Coastal Carolina is finally starting to be Coastal Carolina.

Eli is a mere point back in 3rd place. With his Irish win tucked away safely on the bench, he gets a home loss by Marshall and another loss by 10.5 point favorite Iowa State. Rest assured, John Wheeler’s name was cursed in West Fargo Saturday night.

Meathead, with a pummeling of his Hoosiers at home by Rutgers, went 5-1. The Dawgs took care of biz at Tennessee. He climbs to 4th place.

Going back to the “theme” this week. We have one of the sausage contenders dropping from 2nd all the way back to 5th  place:

Guido. His Sooners “not #1 pick worthy” play caught up with them in Waco, dropping his 3rd double game. Penn State loses to Michigan and FAU gets handled by ODU. A pool-low 16 points for the week.

Zendejas’s lone loss was by his Aggies in The Grove to Ole Miss. He gets his 2nd straight weekly win with 41 points.

The Hagg’s Longhorns (30 point favorites) have hit rock (chalk) bottom losing to Kansas at home. His La Monroe “lone start” of the season resulted in their “lone loss” to Arkansas State.

And Scotty LeDoux answered the bell for the 11th round, getting knocked down twice. (Ball State and Nevada losses). He looks like he’s going the distance. Round 12 next week!
