It was a daunting task to say the least – but here are my top College Football Trips:
Honorable Mention, Pre-Modern Era (Hotels)2002: Notre Dame 25 Michigan 23. An all-time rivalry game, the Irish prevail under the watchful eyes of Touchdown Jesus.
2003: Oklahoma 65 Texas 13. My Sooners in the SHOOTOUT whip Texas’ asses in the Cotton Bowl at the heart of the Texas State Fair. Bucket-lister for me.

Honorable Mention, Modern Era (Houses)
2013: Oregon 45 Washington 24. The house boat was a unique experience and the NFL talent on the field was incredible.

#3 – 2015 Clemson 43 Ga. Tech 24. I really enjoyed the house on the lake, the pontoon and Stacey and I taking our day trip into Clemson. Talking our way into the stadium was fun, and we witnessed the Tigers right on the cusp of becoming the national powerhouse they are now. I wish the game day weather had been better but seeing a game in Clemson was something I dreamed about since watching their field entrances on TBS back on old-school Saturday mornings.
#2 – 2017 Army 31 Temple 28 (OT). For all of the obvious reasons, this one rises to the top of the list. Waking up in the foothills to a yard full of deer, every side trip was a blast, and the game over-delivered. I really enjoyed the addition of seeing the Giants game on Sunday too.
#1 – 2006 Ohio State 42 Michigan 39. When you can say you paid over $2000 for a ticket and you’d do it again because it was worth it – that says it all. The trip to Canton and the HOF was cool too, the drive through Ohio was a fun experience. But it all comes down to…the Game, the Game, the Game.
