After George ran roughshod over the pool in 2017, it looks like we’re back in a dogfight for the top spot this year. Just 21 points separates 1st from 5th place. And one really bad week (like PJ this week) doesn’t kill you – you just can’t string those together.
Mike Lynn takes the lead in the pool, one of 3 guys with a 5-1 week. TCU loses Thursday night but he bounces back Saturday – Alabama even covered it’s spread.
George (5-1) moves up to 2nd place, looking for the first ever back-to-back CFB Pool championship. Miami’s loss to UVA was his lone loss.
Meathead wins the week with 52 points – he gets defensive bonus points out of 4 wins – Washington screwed his perfect week.
Starkey had to start 3 dogs, Texas Tech started the week with an upset win but asking for Indiana and Akron wins too? A bit much. He drops to 4th place.
Skunk and Walter lost their double games this week with Georgia and Penn State. Skunk also had a -4 loss from Cal – Walter’s Okie Staters are who we thought they were, getting drilled at K State.
The Carolinas (South and Coastal) lose for last-place Gob. He’s heading for the Bama pick in 2019.
Karma was a bee-otch for PJ this week, who doubled Ohio State against himself. The Buckeyes managed 8 points out of that win, keeping PJ over the zero mark for the week. Auburn, West Virginia, Western Kentucky, and Troy all lose this week. 7 points for PJ, he drops to third.
And finally, one of the Sisters is beating their guy.
