As always, the pool mirrors the season in college football as the contenders and pretenders are separating.
Snuffy posts the first 60+ point total of the year going 6-0, 6-0 vs. the spread, picking up defensive bonus road wins out of Texas and Miami on Thursday and Friday. Of course the Tide leads the way but he’s got the best overall record and is significantly the best vs. the odds makers this year.
Klaus, Ringo, and Gundy were all 6-0 for the week. Klaus is led by Penn State and Clemson and sits in 2nd – Ringo got 22 out of Ohio State in his double game and jumps into the top half of the standings – Gundy gets his first W out of #1 pick FSU.
USC started the weekend off with a loss for Stumpy Pete, but he manages a solid 48 points including 20 from his beloved Huskers at Illinois. He is designing “Bring back Riley” apparel.
Negatron’s Creamin’ Deacons gave FSU a scare, but his Bayou Bengals have proven to be a toothless bunch. He sits in 3rd place, only 5 points ahead of 6th place OJ, who had an interesting week fielding one of the sorriest starting 6 in recent memory. Troy pulled off the upset, Va. Tech loses at home and So. Miss loses in his double match-up to the Mean Green.
Daggett is one angry beaver, hell-bent on fulfilling his prophecy of owning the #1 pick in next year’s draft. BYU and The Goophies lose – he goes 1-5 vs. the spread for a pool-low 19 point week.
